How to Apply Mascara to Aging Skin
Clean lashes and eye area with non-greasy, non-irritating eye cleanser. Clean inside corners of each eye with clean cotton swab. Allow to dry well before beginning makeup application.
Apply mascara primer onto upper lashes using long, sweeping motions. Coat all lashes thoroughly including tiny lashes in corners of eyes and base of lashes. Shape lashes with primer separating all lashes and pulling them outward. Apply second coat of primer to gain fullest lashes possible.
Load clean mascara brush with fresh brown or brown-black mascara. Use least amount of mascara to do job. Wipe off extra globs of mascara on edges of brush.
Apply mascara to top lashes while primer is still wet. Apply one coat from base of lid to tip of lash. Use as few strokes as possible to cover lashes, including tiny ones in corners of eyes. Remove any clumps with mascara brush. Finished lashes should look naturally dark and full.
Dab cotton swab against skin to clear off mascara mishaps, including water-line and above-lash root. Touch swab only mistake areas on skin and avoiding disturbing newly coated lashes. Remove portion of cotton on tip of swab to fit into tiny spaces.
